You have various control options: manually with a crank handle, electrically with a Somfy motor and wall switch or remote control, or via your smartphone with the Somfy app. With sun and wind sensors, your awning even responds automatically to the weather conditions.
We offer an extensive collection of more than 100 high-quality awning fabrics, from modern plain colours to classic striped patterns. All fabrics are weather-resistant and colourfast and come with a 5-year warranty. In our showroom you can see and feel all the options.
Clean the fabric regularly with lukewarm water and mild soap. Spray the rotating parts once a year with silicone spray (not WD40). Retract the awning in good time in strong wind or rain. You can clean the aluminium parts with car shampoo and protect them with car wax.
There are three main types: open, semi-cassette and cassette awnings. With an open system the back is open and only the front bar closes against the fabric. A semi-cassette has a partly closed housing, while a cassette fully protects the fabric from the weather when it is rolled up.
Our folding-arm awnings are available with a maximum projection of 4 metres. The exact projection depends on your specific situation and wishes. In our showroom we will be happy to advise you on the options for your patio.
The fabric has a water-repellent treatment and can cope with a light shower. In normal or prolonged rain we advise retracting the awning to prevent water from pooling. Always let a wet fabric dry first before you roll it up.
Folding-arm awnings are wind-resistant up to wind force 5 (29-38 km/h). At higher wind speeds we advise retracting the awning to prevent damage. With the optional wind sensor, your awning is retracted automatically when the wind is too strong.
