Looking to have a roller garage door installed?

Very little. The greatest advantage of a roller garage door is the compact roller box that is fitted above the opening. The box height required depends on the total height of the door (usually between 20 and 30 cm). At the sides, only the vertical guide rails are needed. This makes a roller garage door ideal for garages with a low ceiling, limited depth or other obstacles where a sectional garage door will not fit.

Standard aluminium slats provide basic insulation. For better thermal and acoustic performance, Renoco offers roller garage doors with insulated slats as an option, filled with PU foam. Although the insulation value is generally slightly lower than that of a 40 mm thick sectional garage door, this considerably improves comfort in your garage. Ask our advisers about the options.

Yes, that is a unique advantage of the roller garage door. If there is not enough room inside for the roller box (for example because of a low lintel), the box and guide rails can be fitted on the outside wall. The door is then still operated from the inside or by remote control.

A roller garage door is designed and built specifically to close off a garage. The slats are more robust, the guide rails stronger and the motor (electric as standard) more powerful than on a standard roller shutter for a window or door. Roller garage doors are made for more intensive use and offer a higher level of security.

Our roller garage doors are fitted as standard with a reliable Somfy motor with obstacle detection: the door stops automatically if it meets resistance. For extra protection against break-ins, anti-lift protection (rigid links between the curtain and the shaft) and additional locks can be added as an option. Our advisers in the showroom will be happy to tell you more.

Yes, as an option we can install a manual emergency override. This is usually a crank handle with which you can open or close the door by hand if the power has failed. This is certainly advisable if the garage has no other access door.

The price depends on the dimensions, whether you choose insulated slats, the colour and any extra options. An electric Renoco roller garage door is available from approx. €2,099 (incl. The modern Somfy motors we use are designed for quiet operation. You hear only a soft sound as the door rolls up or down. Feel free to come and listen for yourself in our showroom in Sittard.

Roller garage doors are very low-maintenance thanks to the aluminium. It is enough to clean the slats and guide rails 2 to 4 times a year with lukewarm water and a mild cleaning agent. Avoid abrasive products.

The installation is carried out by our installers and usually takes one working day, including removal of your old garage door where applicable.

Yes, when installing your new Renoco roller garage door, our installers will, if you wish, remove your old metal up-and-over door (or other old door) and dispose of it for you free of charge and in an environmentally friendly way.
