An attached patio cover, also known as a veranda, is a patio cover that is fixed directly to the wall of your home. It creates a sheltered outdoor space that forms a seamless transition between indoors and outdoors. Ideal for sitting in the dry, staying out of the bright sun and enjoying your patio for longer. The advantages are numerous: you extend your living space, enjoy your patio all year round (sheltered from rain and sun), your garden furniture stays in good condition for longer and it can increase the value of your home. It also creates a direct link between your house and garden. Renoco installs these attached patio covers professionally throughout Limburg.

The structure of a veranda is usually made of high-quality, low-maintenance aluminium (for example from Verano), available in various colours such as anthracite, black and white, or any other RAL colour. For the roof you have a choice of polycarbonate sheets (16 mm, clear or opal/milky white for sun protection) or laminated safety glass (44.2 mm or 55.2 mm) for an extra luxurious and clear look. Our experienced Renoco installers fix the veranda firmly to the wall of your house with a special wall profile and the right fixings, matched to your type of wall. The posts at the front are anchored in a solid foundation (usually concrete footings). This ensures a stable and safe structure.

Polycarbonate is lighter in weight, more budget-friendly and highly impact-resistant. Opal polycarbonate provides good sun shading. Glass (laminated safety glass) gives a more luxurious look, is more scratch-resistant, lets in the maximum amount of light and is quieter in rain or hail. The choice depends on your budget and wishes. Our advisers will be happy to help you choose.

Yes, that is often possible. Our Verano aluminium verandas are designed so that they can be extended later with sliding glass walls, fixed side walls or screens. This way you can easily transform your attached patio cover into a comfortable garden room. Ask our advisers in Sittard about the options.

You can equip your attached patio cover with atmospheric, dimmable LED lighting, integrated into the roof beams. For extra comfort on cooler evenings, you can opt for electric patio heaters. These options make your patio cover even more pleasant, all year round. They can be operated by switch, by remote control or via the Somfy TaHoma app.

The price of a veranda starts at around €2,649 (incl. installation, for W3000 x D2000), but depends heavily on the dimensions, the roof covering chosen (polycarbonate or glass), the colour and any extra options such as LED lighting or glass walls. In many cases a veranda on the rear wall of the house, up to a certain depth and surface area, does not require a permit in Limburg. However, the rules differ from one municipality to another.
