Yes, Renoco offers both standard and fully insulated side-hinged doors. The fully insulated versions (such as the RenoTwin ISO Plus) use thick sandwich panels (often 40 mm) and thermally broken frames, which provides excellent thermal and acoustic insulation, comparable to modern sectional garage doors. That is a big difference from old, draughty up-and-over doors.

Our side-hinged doors are fitted as standard with sturdy hinges and locks. For a higher level of security you can choose an optional security package with, for example, multi-point locking and SKG-certified fittings, which meets the requirements of the Dutch Politiekeurmerk Veilig Wonen (PKVW) police quality mark. Automation with special swing-door operators is technically possible, but is used less often than with other door types because of the space needed for the arms and the complexity involved. The most common and practical form of operation is manual. Opening and closing the doors (often insulated but relatively light) is very smooth, especially with the optional gas springs.

As standard, side-hinged garage doors have a low aluminium threshold (about 2 cm high) that provides a good seal at the bottom and stability. This is usually no obstacle for bicycles or wheelie bins.

Yes, you can choose a symmetrical (50/50) or an asymmetrical split of the door leaves. An asymmetrical split (e.g. 70/30) can be handy if you usually only need a narrow opening. Our advisers will be happy to discuss what best suits the way you use the doors.

The installation is carried out by our installers and usually takes one working day, including removal of your old door (if applicable).

They are very low-maintenance. Regularly cleaning the door panels and the frame with a soft cloth and a mild cleaning agent is usually sufficient. It is a good idea to lubricate the hinges lightly from time to time.

Yes, when installing your new side-hinged garage doors, our installers will, if you wish, remove your old metal up-and-over door (or other old door) and dispose of it for you free of charge and in an environmentally friendly way.
